Ferrell Crafts
About Ferrell Crafts
My name is Lesley (a.k.a., Ferrell Crafts) and I am a baker and artist based in Washington State. I specialize in prints and stickers of my hand-painted original or digitally-drawn artworks, whimsical jewelry, and embroidered or dyed wearable goods. My art often incorporates nostalgic elements from my childhood in Seattle and on Orcas Island, as well as fairytale-inspired themes. I incorporate upcycled materials in many of my creations to help eliminate unnecessary waste. I am always finding new mediums that I enjoy, so the list of crafts that I make is ever-expanding.
My Creative Process
For my crafts, I try to source from thrift shops, yard sales, and local independent art supply stores. I like finding things that maybe won't be used and reimagining them. For example, I found a box of forgotten floppy disks at work and decided to paint them since they make a great canvas. From there, I turned them into magnets and sold them at my local art markets.

Get to Know the Artist
What's the story behind your shop name and brand?
I chose the name Ferrell Crafts for simple reasons— first, Ferrell is my last name (I know, very creative)! Second, I feel like “Crafts” incapsulates the idea that I don’t limit myself to one particular type of art; I paint, I sew, I tinker, I repurpose, and I just generally create. Third, my name is pronounced like “feral,” so I feel like it gives my name a bit of whimsy.
What do you hope people feel when they see or own your work?
I hope that people feel nostalgic when they see my work. I incorporate a lot of elements of my late 90s/early 2000s childhood in my pieces, so I hope that I can bring my customers back to a moment that brought them joy.
Do you enjoy creating other forms of art that we don't see in your shop?
I’m a professional baker, and I love expressing myself through creative bakes and custom cakes. I also play 6 instruments and was trained as a luthier (stringed instrument maker) by my grandpa. Basically, I love creating in any way that I can!
